Remove Grail Map from CS2

The Issue

I’m a dedicated CS2 player with a consistent 2.3 K/D ratio across maps, proving my skill and commitment to the game. Yet, when playing on Grail, everything changes. My K/D ratio collapses to 0.2, and in one session, I lost all 50 rounds on this map. This isn’t just about my own performance—it’s a shared frustration across the CS2 community.

The biggest problem is balance. Grail is overwhelmingly CT-sided, giving defenders a significant advantage that goes far beyond the expected challenges of a competitive map. Tight choke points, limited rotations, and unfair sightlines create an environment where even highly skilled players find themselves helpless, no matter how well they usually perform. CS2 thrives on the balance between Terrorists and Counter-Terrorists, but Grail breaks this core principle.

Across forums, Discord servers, and player communities, the feedback is nearly unanimous: Grail doesn’t fit the standards of a fair and competitive CS2 map. Many players describe the experience as frustrating, one-sided, and discouraging. Instead of rewarding skill, strategy, and teamwork, Grail often punishes players through map design quirks that favor CTs to an extreme degree.

This petition calls on the CS2 developers to take action. Whether by removing Grail entirely from the active map pool or by significantly reworking its layout, changes must be made to restore fairness and competitive integrity. Every map should provide a balanced battleground that tests skill and strategy equally, not one that stacks the odds against one side before the round even begins.

By addressing Grail’s imbalance, CS2 can continue to uphold its reputation as the world’s premier competitive FPS—where every player knows the outcome of a match depends on their abilities, not a broken map.

Sign this petition if you believe Grail deserves either a full redesign or removal from CS2. Together, we can make sure the game remains fair, competitive, and fun for everyone.
