As South Africans, participants and supporters of the Comrades Marathon, we believe in the values of equality, justice, and respect for all. It deeply concerns us that Mark Wolff, founder of the Nutrition brand 32Gi, has openly expressed his support for ongoing genocidal actions in Palestine. His affiliation with the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF), further compounds our concern as a sponsor of an event so beloved to our nation.

Naledi Pandor, our Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, has issued strong statements against South Africans affiliating themselves with the IDF. This stance reflects our nation's commitment to human rights and opposition to apartheid - principles we fought hard to uphold during our own struggle for freedom.

Given these circumstances and considering South Africa's history with Apartheid - a system we vehemently opposed - it is inappropriate for someone holding such views to be associated with an event like the Comrades Marathon which symbolizes unity among people from diverse backgrounds.

We urge you to reconsider Mr. Wolff and 32Gi's sponsorship of this prestigious event. Let us ensure that The Ultimate Human Race remains a beacon of unity and inclusivity rather than being tainted by associations contrary to these values.
