Since launching our petition to get the Flock out of Wilmington on February 24, 2026, we’ve made significant progress. 399 people have signed in support, we’ve spoken with lawmakers, and we’ve built strong alliances with several local action groups.
Even though we have not yet sought media attention, our efforts are also gaining public attention. The Wilmington Star‑News recently ran a story on the Flock surveillance cameras, helping bring this issue to a wider audience and sparking important community conversation.
We’ve also launched our new website, https://DeFlockILM.org, where you can review the results we’ve received so far from our public records requests. Notably, New Hanover County has a 70‑page contract with Flock that county attorneys have not yet released to us.
To make it easier for residents to take action, we’ve added a page on the website that allows you to email county commissioners directly and ask them to Deflock ILM.
Please continue to share the petition and the website with friends, family, and neighbors. The momentum is real, and we are just getting started.
We are on a roll—thank you for being part of this effort.
