Not Your Old Garbage Bill Anymore

One week until we send in the signed petitions to the Spring Lake Township Board on 1/26/23 at the Trustee meeting. Please help us by sharing the link for other SLTWP residents to sign.  The board is requiring a "substantial" number of signatures.

Did you have Republic/RMS before 12/31/22?  If so, you no longer have that same agreement with them.  You are now required and part of the Spring Lake Township Republic Services exclusive agreement.  This means you are subject to a 4.5% yearly increase and a fuel charge that goes into effect 1/1/2024.  You are not able to change back to your old agreement or to another garbage company this is in effect for perpetuity or until the SLTWP Board removes the exclusivity clause from the ordinance and Republic Services agreement.
