Remove Enetai from the UGA of the City of Bremerton!

Remove Enetai from the UGA of the City of Bremerton!
The Issue
Our coalition of neighborhoods are located next to a historic (Bremer) water front 65-acre estate that is a designated "wildlife patch" and dense old growth forest overlooking the Puget Sound. Due to improper "spot zoning" and inclusion into the Urban Growth Boundary (UGA), a developer is threatening to clear cut this pristine forest and build 189 houses on the Seattle earthquake fault. This development poses significant environmental risks, including water resources, habitat destruction for local wildlife, increased landslide potential, and heightened vulnerability during seismic events.
The developer resides out of the country, with no ties to the area and asked the community if they want to be annexed into the City of Bremerton so he could obtain sewer in the area which would allow for high-density development on the shoreline. The Enetai community overwhelmingly(94%) voted against annexation into the City of Bremerton. The City of Bremerton created a "back-door" ordinance designed to force annexation against the will of the people. The Bremerton City Council ALL (except Anna Mockler) voted to approve a sewer-line extension request by the developer without considering environmental impacts.
The community is fighting back and filed a lawsuit to require SEPA review before approval of sewer extension. The case is currently in appeal court and the City & Developer attempting to shut down appeal.
Removing Enetai from the UGA will help preserve our natural rural setting, protect threatened or endangered species, and maintain community safety. Please sign this petition to urge CITY and COUNTY officials to take immediate action! The Bremerton City Council absolutely DOES have a say in this and can advocate for the COUNTY to remove Enetai from the UGA. Tell the city council they should NOT be creating ordinances designed to circumvent the will of the people. Email the City Council & County Commissioners at emails WE provide below.
