Remove EA from NFL Game Development

The Issue

Over the years, EA has shown a careless approach to both game development and community relations within the madden community. NFL fans and gamers alike deserve a better digital football experience. This is a campaign to bring global awareness to EA’s mistakes in effort to eventually add competition to the market.

Recently, the EA team’s lackadaisical approach has resulted in 60% (near 5 million files) of franchises becoming corrupted. Just for users signing into that file. A company that brings in over $7B revenue / year should reasonably understand and proactively prepare for their game’s storage limits during development. Once again, EA showed they would prefer to release a broken game globally to the mass markets than develop a furnished product.

Additionally, over the past 48 hours, rather than address / respond to inquiries - the EA has remained silent. Football is about fans. The Madden series used to have fans. EA/Madden no longer excites players, as we’ve come used to a cycle of annual release cycles of a 60% complete game with massive patches needed.

However, never has the game been down for days at a time without addressing the community until this year. 60% of files being corrupted is the last straw.

NFL and players association should consider a new partner for exclusive video game rights. They can and should do better for this global sport. EA is not building an enjoyable experience in the interest of their users or community, and it has shown.
