I am asking for your support to remove Dr. Zahi Hawass from his position as the head archaeologist of Egypt. To continue to progress and learn, it is vital that such a pivotal role is held by someone open to collaboration and eager to embrace the scientific community’s drive for discovery.

The need to safeguard ancient artifacts and monuments is understood, yet it should not come at the exorbitant cost of blocking well-intentioned, carefully planned research endeavors. We need a leader who encourages exploration and supports the international community's efforts to study and understand the incredible civilization that thrived long before our time.

Removing Dr. Hawass from his position would pave the way for a more open, inclusive, and progressive approach to Egyptian archaeology. It would send a strong message that the academic community, as well as the global audience, will no longer tolerate the curtailment of scientific research.
