Remove 'depressed' as a 'feeling' from Facebook's status tool

The Issue

When I was updating my Facebook status recently, I noticed that in the 'feeling' section, one option was feeling 'depressed'. The word 'depressed' is generally used in reference to people suffering from clinical depression (see Oxford Dictionary), so it seems to me inappropriate for Facebook to use it as a 'feeling'. Depression is not a feeling, it is a medical condition that affects millions of people. Furthermore, depression, and other forms of mental illness, often hold a stigma. Facebook's casual use of the word 'depressed' could contribute to the devaluation of depression to nothing more than feeling a bit down, or something that is trite. Depression is very serious, and I feel Facebook, as such an influential company, should take its influence seriously. There are so many other words that could be used that don't have the same connotations. I have contacted Facebook highlighting this issue, and urging them to remove 'depressed' as a feeling, but their complaints department does not reply individually to emails so I have had no response other than a general automated reply. I feel action needs to be taken, not just for the sake of sufferers of depression, but for the sake of others, whose view of depression may be impacted negatively by Facebook's approach and use of the word 'depressed'.
