The Issue

The safety and peace of our beloved neighborhood in beautiful Black Canyon City are under constant threat from Jims hound dogs. This issue has persisted for years, affecting me and many other residents who now live in fear of these animals. Their inability to contain the dogs has led to the tragic loss of chickens, livestock, and even other cherished pets. We've had enough of watching helplessly as our community suffers.

These dogs are not just a nuisance; they pose a clear and present danger to the public. The owner of these dogs has repeatedly failed to demonstrate the responsibility required to ensure their containment. Each day we fear for when this escalating situation might lead to an even graver outcome, such as injury to a child or a member of our community. It's only a matter of time before these fears become reality unless immediate action is taken.

Statistics show that domestic animals are responsible for thousands of incidents involving other pets and livestock each year. This issue isn't an isolated case. In neighborhoods across the country, loose dogs frequently challenge public safety, and action is often only taken after a serious incident occurs. We believe that prevention is better than cure, and now is the time to act, not after something tragic happens.

We're calling on local authorities to enforce animal control laws strictly and remove these dogs from their current environment before more unnecessary harm befalls our pets and community. The responsibility to protect our loved ones, pets and livestock should not be deferred until after an incident occurs. The emotional and financial toll it takes on affected families is immense and preventable.

Providing these dogs with a safer, more controlled environment is not only in our best interest, but it's also in the best interest of the dogs themselves. We urge the authorities to take these animals into professional care where they can be properly trained and contained.

We need your support to bring about this essential change. By signing this petition, you can help us compel the responsible entities to act swiftly. Join us in ensuring a safe, harmonious environment for all community members and our beloved animals by supporting the removal of these dangerous hound dogs from our neighborhood. Please sign today and help us make a change before it’s too late.
