This Single Lane Slow Point (‘Chicane’) is in a hazardous location which causes significant danger and safety issues for road users, parked cars, pedestrians & residents. It has caused numerous motor vehicle accidents, tyre blow outs, drivers on opposite sides of the Chicane speeding to enter first, road rage and sleep deprivation for local residents. 
It fails to comply with Australian Standards and Austroad Guidelines because it’s located on a hill, close to its crest. 
The solution is clear and actionable: the Chicane needs to be removed as a matter of urgency. Should Council wish to then look at alternative traffic calming measures, this should be done in a way that does not negatively impact the safety of road users, pedestrians and residents.
