REAL Community participation is needed. Big Billionaire, Corporate Behemoths should never come into our communities and impose without stakeholders at the table. The people being directly impacted must be heard and respected, period.

We will send this petition to CEO Mr. David Risher of LYFT, who owns CitiBike.

BACKGROUND:

CitiBike has installed approx. 30 bike racks in the residential communities of East Elmhurst and Corona, in  Queens. The bike racks started appearing near local driveways weeks ago and have been taking away precious limited parking places. Homeowners are voicing their opposition.

The placement of these racks throughout this community was poor planning - to say the least, not to mention CitiBike’s tone deaf approach to place one of the bike racks at Malcolm X Place, on the block of the home of slain Civil rights Icon in East Elmhurst.

The community has had zero involvement and zero input into these decisions.  The people of this community who ride bikes own them and keep them in their garages.

The community is already inundated by TLC black cars that service LaGuardia Airport and airport workers who park in this neighborhood taking limited parking spaces.  Why hurt this community even more?”  Act Now! Sign the petition and say NO TO CITIBIKE
