Remove Cindee Raymond as Principal of Pearl Ridge Elementary (PRE)
Remove Cindee Raymond as Principal of Pearl Ridge Elementary (PRE)
The Issue
Principal Raymond has a duty and responsibility to PRE students and families to maintain their trust and confidence in her ability to ensure the safety and well-being of the children, teachers, and staff who are entrusted to her care. She has not only failed to live up to these responsibilities and expectations of transparency and accountability but through her ill-intended actions she has placed the safety and well being of students and staff at risk. Principal Raymond’s style of leadership has created a toxic work environment for the teachers and staff. Her consistent mishandling of serious safety issues on campus demonstrates her carelessness, incompetence and shamelessness. Through unchecked actions, she has effectively established an unsafe environment for our young children and this is NOT ok.
The school year has been plagued by multiple issues as a result of questionable ethics and judgment coming from Principal Raymond. Concerns at PRE intensified in February 2025 when a student brought a knife and “death list” to the school. The situation further deteriorated when Principal Raymond explicitly directed students to withhold information about the knife and death list from their parents (students were told to "keep it a secret") and Principal Raymond deliberately chose NOT to notify parents of the incident herself. Furthermore, she lied to school staff, telling them there was no weapon and no threat. Principal Raymond’s efforts to conceal the information from families and teachers is an indefensible breach of trust that places the safety of all at risk. Moreover, this shameful act robbed parents of their rights to protect their children. When a teacher ultimately informed families of the incident, Principal Raymond and CAS Erickson were immediately contacted by parents who voiced their outrage, dissatisfaction and their disbelief with the audacity in this principal's conduct. Principal Raymond's malicious intent to keep information from parents and staff is an egregious display of her negligence and clearly demonstrates outright lack of integrity. Making matters worse, concerns were repeatedly dismissed by Principal Raymond and CAS Erickson, and authorities at all levels of the DOE have failed to take action to address parents’ concerns. As of this day, neither Principal Raymond, CAS Erickson nor the DOE have responded to the parents with any answers as to why this principal has been allowed to instruct students to withhold information from parents and lie to the staff. Disturbingly, the untenable behavior surrounding this incident is just one of several this year under Cindee Raymond. It is indefensible and disheartening that the safety and well being of students and the voice of concerns from families have taken a backseat to Principal Raymond's and CAS Erickson's agenda and that the DOE leadership remains silent. We demand a change in leadership because our keiki deserve much better than this.
We, the undersigned, are concerned parents & students who are calling for the immediate removal of Principal Raymond and an investigation into CAS Erickson’s handling of PRE staff and parent concerns. We demand better from the DOE.
