We were featured on CTV News last week, which has garnered some great support. Here's the link if you  missed it:

This week two things happened related to our families dye allergy. The first was that my family needed antibiotics and I was given a prescription for Amoxicillin that would contain Red 3 if filled by a regular drug store because artificial colour is somehow mandatory in ALL children's medicine made by all drug manufacturers. I took the prescription to the specialty compounding pharmacy where it took them 36 hrs to fill because they were making it from scratch. It cost $80.

When my son needed the same medicine a few days later, not wanting to wait (and since he doesn't react the same way as his sister to dye) I decided to go ahead and fill it at the regular pharmacy. It was $18 and hot pink.

The second thing that happened was that I received another canned response from Health Canada. They remain indifferent on the subject (photo attached). Lets hope my MP Tom Kmiec can take this petition to Ottawa,
