Remove and replace the animal services director in Santa Rosa County

Remove and replace the animal services director in Santa Rosa County
The Issue
Added below is the statistics from Santa Rosa County Animal Services for 2025 stating ALOT of dogs in foster care. Also attached is a supervisor stating they only have 3 fosters. Our shelter is clearly being run by lies from Randy Lambert.
In Santa Rosa County, we are facing a critical issue with our Animal Services. The current director, Randy Lambert, has consistently refused assistance from local rescue groups, leaving many stray dogs to fend for themselves on the streets. This situation is not only heartbreaking but entirely preventable. With adequate collaboration and management, these animals could have a chance at life in a loving home.
Randy Lambert's reluctance to work with animal rescue organizations means countless dogs and other animals suffer unnecessarily. Stray animals pose a risk to themselves and to the community due to potential disease transmission and road hazards. Moreover, these animals endure harsh weather, hunger, and the threat of injury without assistance. It is unacceptable that, in a community that cares deeply about its animals, we have a director who does not utilize available resources to address the situation but would rather botch numbers all for funding from Bissel and best friends foundations.
We propose that the Santa Rosa County Administration take immediate action to remove Randy Lambert from his position and replace him with someone willing to collaborate with local rescue groups. This change will ensure more humane treatment of animals, improve community safety, and bolster public trust in our animal services.
Sign this petition to demand change. Let’s give our stray and abandoned animals the chance they deserve and build a safer, more compassionate community together.
