Remove AI Usage On Scratch

Remove AI Usage On Scratch
The Issue
Scratch, a beloved platform where kids and beginners learn to code, is now implementing AI that supposedly "borrows" or "learns" from user-generated projects. Concerns are rising amongst users regarding the ethical implications and potential privacy issues surrounding this move. The majority of the Scratch community comprises young and impressionable users. They use the platform not only as a learning tool but as a creative outlet to express their ideas and share their projects with the world. When these projects are analyzed or modified by AI without explicit consent, it risks discouraging the creativity of young developers and violating user rights.
While AI can undoubtedly enhance learning and creativity, the way it's implemented here raises severe questions. We demand the removal of the AI-related processes and a formal apology for the worry and panic Scratch caused us.
Furthermore, it’s essential to establish a voting system for changes in the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy to make sure at least 2/3 of the community is happy. The Congress does it, why can't we?
By signing this petition, you stand up for the removal of AI, user rights, and the safeguarding of children's digital creativity. We urge Scratch to remove AI and make this website fully human. Please join us in making this change a reality by adding your signature.
