Remove Aggressive Dog from Brookside, Telford
The Issue
Three weeks ago, my mom was bitten by an aggressive dog while she was bravely protecting her grandchildren. The terrifying incident happened in Brookside, Telford, when the dog attacked my 5-year-old nephew. It pulled him to the ground by his backpack, and my mom courageously stepped in to shield him, suffering a bite in the process.
This vicious dog has now been brought back to our community, sparking serious concerns about the safety and well-being of those who live here, especially our children. The fear and anxiety caused by the presence of this dog are palpable among Brookside residents. This dog has attacked three times before this one.
Aggressive animals pose a genuine risk, and it is critical that they are managed in a way that protects the public. According to the UK Government's Dangerous Dogs Act, it is against the law for a dog to be out of control or to harm someone. Therefore, it is paramount for the local authorities to take necessary action to prevent further incidents and assure the safety of all residents.
I urge the local council and animal control services to remove the dangerous dog from our area before another person is harmed. Safety must be a top priority, and preemptive measures are essential to ensure peace of mind for everyone living in Brookside.
Please sign this petition to demand immediate action to protect our community by addressing the threat of aggressive dogs. Your support can help make Brookside a safer place for everyone, especially our children.
