For years, many of us living in Penns Grove Carneys Point school district have helplessly witnessed multiple concerning situations unraveling at our local middle school. Abner Mendoza, the current leader of our school, has consistently fostered an environment that is not safe nor conducive to learning for our children. His troubling behavior and the stories that have emerged from the school are alarming. We can no longer stand by while our children's education and well-being are at stake.

Abner Mendoza's leadership has been marred by allegations and incidents that have no place in an educational environment. Numerous reports from both students and teachers have documented instances of harassment and intimidation and inappropriate conduct with students. The very fabric of trust and respect, essential in a school setting, is unraveling under his leadership, resulting in a toxic atmosphere where students fear speaking out. This cannot continue.

It is essential for the school district to prioritize the safety and development of its students. By removing Mr. Mendoza, our school district will demonstrate its commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing, and most importantly a safe environment. We believe that new leadership, focused on transparency, integrity, and the welfare of students, can bring about the change needed to restore confidence in our educational system and to ensure our children receive the best possible education in a safe and supportive setting.

Penns Grove Carneys Point Regional School District deserves leaders who are role models and advocates for our children's future. It's time for the PGCP School District to take decisive action. We need new, effective, and empathetic leaders who can rebuild the trust and create a space where every student feels valued and secure.

We stand at a crossroads, but change is possible if we unite as a community. Let us come together, voice our concerns, and demand that the PGCP School District remove Abner Mendoza from his position before further damage is done.
