Petition to LiSTNR (Southern Cross Austero) to remove Abbie Chatfield’s podcast from their platform as it continues to spread misinformation that harms the Jewish community and encourages anti-semitism.

Chatfield recently had Bassem Youssef on her podcast where they discussed the bombing of Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza and how Israel is justifying it, when it was disproven that the IDF or Israel were even responsible. The BBC had enough journalistic integrity to retract their comments on it, but admittedly bias, Chatfield continues to spread these misinformed lies.

Another guest recently on her podcast was Nevo Zisin, a self proclaimed anti zionist. This was her “Jewish perspective” she used on her podcast. 

She has stated she will not put a Zionist on her podcast and explained that her producer is Palestinian and she would not want to upset her. There are multiple Jews and Zionists that work at SCA that contribute to Chatfield’s podcast which she doesn’t even consider. From ad sales to editing to marketing. Only further exemplifying that she doesn’t have the ability to see the wider picture in situations.

She has also now posted on her stories comparing zionists to transphobic people, anti vaxxers and anti abortion supporters.

I personally have met Abbie Chatfield and used to be a big fan. She has a large voice and platform that discussed issues I aligned with. However, I can no longer continue to support someone who spreads misinformation and encourages hate.

As a Jewish Israeli Zionist that has been to Israel dozens of times and been learning about this conflict my whole life, I’m aware of how complex it is. For someone with such a large platform to only comment on it for the first time now, assuming to be an expert or at least have a valid opinion, is extremely damaging.
