Supervisor Aguilar's office just posted a press release:

"Resolution Regarding Proposed Transfer of EPCAL Property to
IDA NOT on Tonight’s CDA or Town Board Meeting Agenda

... Supervisor Aguiar and the Town Board know how critically important the EPCAL property is to the residents of Riverhead, and want to ensure the public has every opportunity to review the details of a proposed transfer prior to vote. Accordingly, the resolution regarding a proposed 
transfer of EPCAL to the IDA will not be considered, this evening, but is anticipated in the near future."

We suspect that the large number of letters calling for a public hearing before taking such a dramatic step played a role in slowing down the steam roller.  Thanks to everyone who wrote.  An effort will be made at the Board meeting tonight to learn more so tune in to Channel 22 or on-line if you have time.  We will keep you informed.
