Creating a safe and nurturing environment for our children to learn should be top priority. Under the current reign of Principal Ling our children, the staff and the community have been suffering. Our students aren’t getting the allotted time needed to learn to read or write as well as the hostility they have to see and hear on a daily basis is not only saddening it is frightening. Mrs Ling berates and belittles her staff and teachers in front of students. Not to mention the way she behaves towards children and parents. People are scared of her or afraid to deal with her which is why up till today there hasn’t been an active PTA in two years.

I, as well as the majority of the parents witness Mrs Ling every single morning during arrivals yelling and screaming inappropriately at the children and at times at the parents. Our community parents have similar experiences with Mrs Ling if they come into 20 regarding an incident with our children; she avoids us by locking herself in her office and will not speak to anyone, or will come out of her office and speak with parents in a disrespectful nasty tone. 
Her reign needs to end. She has created a hostile work environment which is detrimental to the mental health of all the individuals in the school staff and students alike. We deserve for our children to be comfortable going to school so they can learn properly. School is their second home and where they spend half of their lives. They should feel respected and heard..
Mrs Ling has been blocking or muting out parents from the parent association meeting because she tries to manipulate the situation so she can get her way with the PA. Parents have written Chancellor Banks office, as well as many other people from the DOE and still Ms. Ling is here. This is gross negligence on the behalf of the New York City Department of Education. This so called “leader” is a tyrant who abuses her power and manipulates to dodge responsibility. Please join together to get the D.O.E to bring in a better leader for our families.
