Removal of Instacart Shopping Quality Metric

The Issue

On July 1, 2025, Instacart implemented a new metric for “Shopping Quality.”  This metric penalizes shoppers for perceived shopping errors under the auspice of being “verified.”  This metric is a farce.  All a customer has to do is submit a receipt showing they didn’t get an item and it reduces a shopper’s shopping quality score.  I have had several orders where I caught “misbagged” items and moved them to the right order.  Or better yet, have had items out of stock and still took the hit for the “missing” item!  This metric is not a fair assessment  and needs to go!
