I have once been at the receiving end of the harsh treatment by the current Broward Teachers Union President. What started as a personal encounter quickly became a visible pattern, for me and several of my fellow members. Harassment, intimidation and a disrespect for dialogue are experiences shared among us, all at the hands of the president. These episodes not only harm individual members but also weaken the cohesion of our union.

Despite being in a position of leadership, the union president has shown an unsettling lack of maturity and control over her persona. This behavior not only threatens the harmony of our union but also directly clashes with the duties and responsibilities vested in her position. As members of the Broward Teachers Union, we recognize the importance of a strong, ethical, and respectful leadership and, sadly, have not found these qualities in the current president.

Over the course of several years, incidents of misconduct have been more frequent than not, affecting both members and non-members across the district. It's high time that we assert our voices in advocating for the change that is needed.

A lot are calling for the immediate removal of the Broward Teachers Union president. This demand stems from our commitment to uphold the values of our union and champion the rights of our members. We believe a transparent process, accountable leadership, and respect for all members and non-members as fundamental principles guiding our actions. Together, we can bring about this key change.
