• Arthur Vamva has unequivocally posted transphobic and homophobic posts on Facebook. Not only this he has called members of the LGBTQ+ community satanists amongst other slurs.

These attacks are incompatible with the ethos of the IEB,  our university and SRC Constitution. It is on these grounds that he should be removed from running for SRC and barred as a candidate.

• We call on the IEB to excercise its role as an oversight authority and remove Mr Vamva from running for SRC president and deny him a platform to spread his transphobia and homophobia. Furthermore, the student body and candidates should condemn such views which target members of LGBTQ+  student body.
