Remembering those who served in Kickham barracks, Clonmel.

Recently, the Tipperary County Council presented a monument on the Clonmel Plaza site (Formerly Kickham Barracks) listing the names of various politicians both locally and Nationally.

Unfortunately in the unveiling and its aftermath there was no consideration towards a Memorial stone to acknowledge all of those who had served and even passed away on that area of the Barracks before conversion to the Plaza.

Family members want their Army family members remembered on that site.

These Army members did so much for the Clonmel Community, are a credit to Clonmel, to this day stories of those who served can be heard all around Clonmel, Tipperary and beyond of their bravery.

The Plaza is a welcome addition to the Town but a key part of its history needs recognition.
