The Issue
Living near Panama City Bar and Grill has become a constant source of distress for my family and many others in our community. Our neighborhood, which was once a calm and welcoming place for families and children to thrive, is now plagued with loud disturbances and safety concerns.
The patrons of Panama City Bar and Grill often park in front of our homes at late hours of the night. This problem is exacerbated by the establishment’s insufficient parking facilities, making the residential streets roughly resemble an untamed parking lot. Moreover, the noise levels are unacceptable; patrons loudly leave the premises at closing hours, often yelling, and the untidiness is apparent from the broken bottles left behind.
This isn’t just a minor annoyance—it’s a significant threat to the safety and peace of our community. In the past year alone, there have been two incidents involving gunshots reportedly originating from altercations within the bar, one of which tragically resulted in the death of a military member. These violent occurrences are extremely alarming and raise grave safety concerns for families with children living here.
Our kids get disturbed at night, woken by the noise, and we find ourselves constantly on edge. The presence of speeding cars and the late-night disturbances challenge the tranquility that every family deserves. This is not what we envisioned for our community and it’s not the environment we want for our children.
It’s imperative that swift action be taken to address this situation before more innocent lives are affected or lost. We call upon local authorities and stakeholders to relocate or shut down the Panama City Bar and Grill to restore peace and safety to our once serene neighborhood.
Let’s work together to ensure that our community is safe and livable for all families. Your signature can help make our neighborhood better for everyone. Sign this petition to help us advocate for the relocation or shutdown of this disruptive establishment.
