The Issue

Our family, along with many other young families, moved to the Park City Heights neighborhood drawn by its safety, community spirit, and serene surroundings. On any given day, you can see kids riding bikes, walking dogs, and playing sports in our streets. However, this harmonious environment is threatened by the proposed Clark Ranch project, which puts the safety and well-being of our community at risk. The developers seem primarily driven by profit, with little regard for the children and families in Park City Heights.

The current plan proposes using Park City Heights as a thoroughfare to access the new neighborhood, drastically increasing traffic and endangering our residents, especially the children who frequently play around these streets. The increased traffic not only undermines our neighborhood’s safety but also compromises the peaceful lifestyle that we cherish.

Additionally, constructing the Clark Ranch project into the mountainside south of Park City Heights is not environmentally sound. The flat land near Richardson Flat offers a more viable alternative. Building there would be more environmentally sustainable and cost-effective, minimizing ecological disruption and sparing the natural incline of our beloved mountain terrain.

Relocating the Clark Ranch development across I40, by Richardson Flats, aligns with broader environmental goals. It preserves the mountain landscape and ensures that the essence of Park City Heights remains undisturbed.

We urge local government officials, urban planners, and developers to reconsider the plan, prioritize sustainable development, and safeguard the safety and sanctity of our community. Please join us in advocating for a safer, environmentally friendly solution that protects our neighborhood and its residents. Sign this petition to support the relocation of the Clark Ranch project to a more suitable location.
