Reginald Clemons, son of the Late Bishop Thomas and Vera Thomas, comes from a family that has already stood in the face of injustice. Bishop Thomas and Vera Thomas led a powerful movement that stopped the State of Missouri from executing Reggie. Today, the fight continues — not for his life — but for his constitutional rights.

Reggie and fellow Muslim worshipers are standing up for their First Amendment right to freely practice their religion. During prayer, they were allegedly maced and beaten by correctional officers. Their right to worship was met with force.

The video of the assault has not been released publicly — but it will be presented as evidence during this trial.

This proceeding is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
