Two years ago in Uttar Pradesh, India, Muhammad Arif found an injured Sarus crane on his farm. The crane had a broken leg and was bleeding heavily.
For several minutes, Arif thought about what to do, as cranes can be dangerous. In the end, he bought the crane to his house and treated it with home remedies (he straightened the crane's leg with a stick, and bandaged it.) He also lovingly fed it and cared for it.
After two months, the crane recovered and flew off into the wild, only to return back to Arif in the evening. This happened for many days, until the crane started to stay with Arif. They would eat together, and wherever Arif went, the crane would go too, flying behind him.
Soon, the video of this reached the forest authorities and the Sarus crane was taken away from Arif and put in a cage.

The Sarus crane has refused to eat or drink anything since then. Arif is heartbroken too and is trying his best to help the crane.
