Release the Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean Anime Earlier and Weekly
As for many people, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has become an instrumental part of my life. For me, it's more than just the memes, the quotes, and the "Araki Forgot" moments. It's a collection of stories of what it means to be human and how to embrace a chaotic universe. It's about confronting your spiritual struggles and overcoming the unthinkable. It helped me to love myself, the people around me, and a world that is constantly changing. When I was stuck in quarantine, I always had Jojo to push me forward. I will always appreciate and cherish the original manga, but it was the anime that truly put things into full perspective.
Today, we want to address the decisions on your end that are currently destroying the anime experience for me and thousands of fans around the world. Firstly, by setting the release date so unfathomably far from now, you are waning the interest accumulated not just in the months, but in the years the fandom patiently anticipated this release. This is not to rush the final product and the work of David Productions. However, by intentionally releasing the final product so far from now, you are smoldering the experience for all of us. Secondly, releasing the episodes in bingeable batches derives a meaningless and unsatisfying viewing experience. As you may know, episodes were usually released weekly, creating a prominent sense of excitement for what comes next. Having everything available all at once dismantles the anticipation and, once again, wanes the hype that was built up for so long. We know you are fully capable of releasing content in weekly episodes, but apparently not for this.
These two problems may be insignificant to you, but not to us. The Jojo fandom is among one of the fastest growing and dedicated groups I've ever had the pleasure to be a part of. You may never realize it, but we love this anime more than for the heck of it. It's not about releasing episodes whenever and however. It's about giving the fans an enjoyable, fulfilling viewing experience that they will cherish for years. I and the Jojo community are asking you to please reconsider the release date and manner of episode release for the second part and the rest of Stone Ocean. An audience will never give you the satisfaction if it isn't satisfied.
