We are writing to humbly ask for Vinegar Syndrome to remaster and release the 1969 film “The Exquisite Cadaver”, on Blu-ray/DVD.

Directed by Vincent Aranda, “The Exquisite Cadaver” is a remarkable piece of cinematic history that showcases Aranda's distinctive vision and innovative storytelling. It is an arthouse film, a mystery, a film noir, and psychological thriller all wrapped into one magnetic masterpiece. It’s themes include feminism, surrealism, desire, obsession, and psychological exploration.

The cast is an eclectic multicultural ensemble. The leading man and antagonist, the Editor, is played by Argentine actor, Carlos Estrada, who is best remembered for his roles in “Su Seguro servidor” and “Romeo e Giulietta”. Spanish actress, Teresa Gimpera, known for films such as “Lucky, el intrépido” and “Ace of Hearts”, plays the Editors Wife. The iconic French actress, Capucine, known for “The Pink Panther” and “Walk On The Wildside”, plays the films femme fatale heroine, Parker. And in her breakout role playing the ingenue, Esther, is the British Hammer Horror icon and Scream Queen legend, Judy Matheson.

Despite its artistic significance and cult following, this film remains largely unavailable in high-quality formats, limiting access for both new audiences and dedicated fans alike.

We believe that a Blu-ray/DVD release would not only honor the legacy of Vincent Aranda, the cast, and the film's contributions to cinema, but also provide an opportunity for a new generation to appreciate its artistry.
