Release Search Party on Blu-ray or Physical Media — Preserve a Modern Classic

The Issue

Search Party is one of the most original and genre-defying series of the last decade. It premiered on TBS and later moved to HBO Max, where it developed a devoted following thanks to its dark comedy, mystery, and razor-sharp satire. Despite critical acclaim and cultural relevance, Search Party has yet to receive a physical media release — no Blu-ray, no DVD, no preservation at all.

As streaming rights shift and shows disappear from platforms, we are asking HBO, Max, and Warner Bros. Discovery to give Search Party the treatment it deserves: a physical media release to preserve this series for future audiences.

We are not asking for a collector’s edition or box set (though we’d love that). We are simply asking that this show, which fans still discuss and celebrate, be preserved in some form. We want to own the story of Dory, Elliott, Drew, and Portia — without fear of it being pulled or lost in the digital shuffle.

Fans have already emailed Warner Archive, Criterion, and Shout! Factory — and started threads on Reddit to rally support. Please show them we’re not alone. Every signature brings us one step closer to seeing Search Party get the shelf space it’s earned.

This petition was started by me, Durell R. Brown — also known as u/SearchPartyFan on Reddit — where this campaign first gained traction. I’m just one fan who believes this show deserves permanence, and I hope you’ll stand with me.
