We, the students of the University of Hyderabad, express serious concern about the delay in the INSPIRE-SHE (Scholarship for Higher Education) 2025 notification, which is usually released in September–October, as the application portal remains closed with no official updates. This uncertainty is affecting students nationwide who depend on the scholarship to pursue basic science, especially as many have missed out on alternative funding opportunities. Additionally, pending disbursements for the 2023 batch students and unresolved issues with internship allowances further worsen the situation. We urge the Department of Science & Technology (DST) to immediately release the 2025 notification, provide a clear timeline, address pending payments, and resolve internship-related concerns to ensure students are not disadvantaged.

We are conducting this mass-email campaign with all four major four demands: 

1. Release the INSPIRE-SHE 2025 notification and open the application portal at the earliest.
2. Provide an official clarification regarding the reasons for the delay and the expected timeline for the application and selection process.
3. Address the pending scholarship disbursements for students of earlier batches, including those from the previous batches.
4. Review concerns regarding internship allowance rejections and ensure that genuine applications are appropriately considered.

I am writing to respectfully express concern regarding the delay of the INSPIRE-SHE 2025 notification, which is usually released around September or October of the preceding year.
 
As of now, the application portal for the 2025 batch remains closed, and there has been no official communication or updated timeline regarding the same. The expectation that the scholarship process would follow its established annual cycle prevents students from making informed decisions about their academic and financial planning. This delay has created considerable uncertainty among students across the country pursuing basic science courses who depend on this scholarship for financial support. Several students did not apply for alternative financial aid opportunities.

In addition to the delayed notification, several issues related to the ongoing scholarship implementation are also causing concern among students. It has been observed that many students from the 2023 batch have not yet received their scholarship amounts. Furthermore, the internship allowance that is expected to be provided under the scholarship scheme has not been disbursed in several cases.

Scholarships such as INSPIRE-SHE play an important role in encouraging research and innovation in science, and timely communication about the application process is essential for students who depend on such support.

In this regard, I kindly request the Department to:

1.Release the INSPIRE-SHE 2025 notification and open the application portal at the earliest.

2.Provide an official clarification regarding the reasons for the delay and the expected timeline for the application and selection process.

3.Address the pending scholarship disbursements for students of earlier batches, including those from the previous batches.

4.Review the concerns related to internship allowance rejections and ensure that genuine applications are appropriately considered.
