With Dead or Alive's already niche player base, it's hard for fans to convince new comers to jump into the franchise. Only 2 modern titles of Dead or Alive are available on the PS store, that being DOA5:LR and DOA6 (Which Team Ninja has now ceased pushing out new updates). With DOA6 being a let down to most fans, I believe that adding the older titles will bring contentment to the fan base and potentially bring in new interest into the franchise. 

Unfortunately due to Microsoft's legal terms with Dead or Alive 3 & 4 it will be harder to convince Team Ninja and also Sony/PlayStation to bring those games back, But since Microsoft has no direct strict legal ties to the first two games It shouldn't be too much of a legal hassle for Sony and Team Ninja to port the first two Dead or Alive games on the PS Classics Catalogue.

Since Sony already has a history of bringing old fighting games to the Classics Catalogue, for example, Tekken 2 & 3, and soon to be Soulcalibur 3 later in 2025, It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to want DOA 1 and 2 to be added to the Catalogue too.
