Since Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith has had its 20th anniversary re-release in theaters and has released a special edition hardcover magazine, Lucasfilm needs to also release a 20th anniversary extended edition of the movie itself with deleted scenes like the scenes with Mon Mothma as well as some unreleased footage added back in to the film and then release it on DVD as well as streaming platforms like Disney+. A 2026 release would perfectly honor the ongoing 20th anniversary celebration, giving Lucasfilm time to carefully reintegrate the beloved deleted scenes into the movie and make this the new official version of the film. They need to do this because this is a big anniversary of such a great film as it’s now been out for 20 years and fans would really love for more content to be added to the film.
