Extreme metal fans have been waiting for a new album from Necrophagist for over a decade now. New music and extensive touring has been teased and promised time and again, but have not been fulfilled. The last big tour the band did was Summer Slaughter 2009, and have since played festivals rarely for the past six years. Whenever Muhammed Suiçmez does do an interview, he'll tell you that the album is on its way, and they'll tour all over Europe and the United States afterwards.

But at the same time, Muhammed has been known for his distaste of Relapse Records and their treatment of Necrophagist.

Relapse, I'm no businessman, but I can safely assume that when the frontman of a band publicly denounces his record label, that his relations with them have not, and will not go well. Someone's got to give. 

Either let Necrophagist record and release a new album within one year so that touring can recommence, or part ways with the band, so that they can remain active however they see fit.
