Next Public Meeting Dates
Save these dates! They are your opportunities to address the decision-makers directly.
- Mar 27 @ 10am - Development Review Committee
- Apr 2 @ 6:30pm - City Commission
The issue won't be up for a vote here, but public comments here are critical prior to the vote on Apr 16 (by which time most of the commissioners will have made up their minds) - Apr 7 @ 6:30pm - Planning & Zoning Board
The board will recommend that the city commission vote yes/no - Apr 16 @ 6:30pm - City Commission final vote
NOTE: The Covenant House Florida proposal is not on the agenda for any of these meetings YET. Agendas for these meetings are sent out 7 days ahead of each meeting, and we will send an update here as soon as we know for sure when their application will be heard.
We realize these are a lot of dates, and this is typical for such proposals. If you are unable to be at all of them, the order of importance is:
- Apr 16 - City Commission (vote)
- Apr 7 - Planning & Zoning Board
- Apr 2- City Commission (public comments)
Tell the Commissioners How You Feel
The best way you can make a difference is to share your concerns directly with the city commissioners. Email is the best way to reach them to ensure that your comments are included in the public record. Your collective voices carry a powerful message. (Lack of communication from the residents is often construed as approval of the proposal.)
