Zionism represents the Jewish people's fundamental right to self-determination in their historic homeland, Israel. The policy also contradicts the party's own values of human rights, equity, and justice. Labeling Zionism in this way dismisses the fears and concerns of those who have faced historic persecution. Moreover, conflating a national movement with racism may inadvertently fuel anti-Semitic sentiments, particularly in a time where these prejudices need combatting, not encouragement.

In rejecting this policy, the Green Party will not only uphold their commitment to equity and understanding but also strengthen their stance as a party that respects and values all cultural identities. Many members and supporters believe this approach is more in line with the Green's overarching goals of promoting peace, justice, and sustainability.
