As a woman in this country, I am deeply concerned with the implications of House Resolution 7. I, alongside millions of other women, believe that our healthcare should not be dictated by the needs of men nor should it be governed by religious beliefs. Our health should never be compromised for another's agenda. House Resolution 7, if passed, would unduly burden women and healthcare providers by restricting access to certain healthcare services. It dangerously oversteps the boundaries of government by intertwining it with personal healthcare decisions. According to the Congressional Research Service, this resolution could have major repercussions on women’s health, freedom, and comes with the risk of limiting access to necessary procedures and/or medication. I call upon our government to consider the significant impact this bill will have on countless women across our country. We vehemently urge our lawmakers to strike down House Resolution 7.
