The Lawn On Main Still Needs Help!

This greenspace (Lawn on Main) still needs your help. Here is a checklist to help us spread the cause:

• Contact city council and city manager. Tell them NO HOTEL on the Lawn on Main. This is crucial because they may try to delegitimize or ignore this petition. It needs to be entered into the public record that many people oppose these hotel proposals. 
• Share the petition with 3 people at least. 
• Comment WHY you oppose a hotel on the lawn in the petition comments. 

There is a "special called" joint meeting between the Downtown Development Authority and the council on August 3 at 6:30 in city hall. A very vague agenda that only lists one item: "economic growth" has been posted. We demand transparency in agendas. Special called meetings do not get scheduled for no reason. August 4th will be a regularly scheduled council meeting. As of today, no agenda has been posted. Please attend either or both of these meetings and express your opposition to a lawn on main during public comment.
