The El Paso Independent School District is planning on adding an additional school period, which will lead to all schools in the district having 15 minute longer day. While the rest of the country is switching to a 4 day school week in order to give students and faculty time to relax, the EPISD board plans on extending the school day and shortening our summers. We stand against this initiative made by EPISD, and petition to have this plan ignored, and keep our current system.
