There is a difference between SEILER’S GROWTH and PLANNED, ENLIGHTENED, SUSTAINABLE and CONTROLLED GROWTH. Seiler’s (and Bruce Robert’s) growth policies have created dysfunctional growth. Seiler-Robert’s ideas of growth have caused more problems than they’ve solved. Their growth has caused strains on sewers, roads, schools and budgets. Their growth will increase, not relieve, future tax burdens. Downtown and the Barrier Island don’t need more growth and development. Areas that need growth and redevelopment are still stagnant. Bahia Mar’s Development will harm, not help, the Boat Show. The WAVE will worsen traffic problems, not reduce traffic problems. Unrealistic and Unsustainable Police and Fire Union Retirement Benefits will reduce public safety not improve public safety. Growth Policies should be decided by the People of Fort Lauderdale not Miami Developers.
