Nov 11, 2017 — URGENT: Please sign and forward Petition to everyone you know. December 5 Commission Meeting will decide Bahia Mar’s fate forever. A random survey of marine industry vendors, yacht brokers, boat manufacturers and suppliers expressed alarm and opposition to the Developers’ Proposed Bahia Mar Plans. Why are Informa, the new show managers of the Boat Show and Marine Industries officials supportive of a Project whose constituencies are so opposed. It is absurd and highly suspect that no market surveys have been conducted by the Developer, the City or Marine Industries Association of the Boat Show participants most affected by these plans. These participants pay huge sums of money to the sponsors of the Boat Show. When they cancel participation and consumer attendance at the Boat Show drops what happens? Also, the Developer has only produced artist renderings of the Project. No financial cost and revenue projections have been made and presented to the Mayor and City Commissioners and the Public. How can such a Project be approved with such superficial analysis and fake scrutiny? This Prosposal must be rejected or at a minimum deferred and put to a Referendum Vote of the Citizens who are the legal rightful owners and stewards of the Bahia Mar Public Asset.
