Dear everyone,
Thank you again for signing the petition — we are now 177 supporters, and more than 10,000 people have read it. That’s real momentum!
The council will decide on application PA/25/01729 (77 Marsh Wall) on April 1. The planning officer has recommended approval.
Importantly — despite direct engagement and meetings with the council, none of our representatives were allowed to speak at the hearing in opposition.
👉 This means one thing: individual emails from residents now matter more than ever!
🚨 What you need to do (takes 2 minutes):
- Please email the councillors TODAY using the template below.
- Personalise it if you can — even a sentence or two makes it more impactful.
Thank you!

Subject:
PA/25/01729 – Please vote AGAINST
Dear members of the Strategic Development Committee,
I am one of the 177 residents who signed the petition opposing this application.
As our representatives were not given the opportunity to speak at the April 1 meeting, I am writing directly to ensure my concerns are heard.
This proposal faces significant and widespread opposition, as reflected in the planning documents:
- 194 formal objections from neighbouring residents
- A petition with 177 named signatories opposing the application
- 34 additional objection letters
- 14 organisations raising objections
- A Local Councillor raising a partial objection
The application raises serious concerns around design, infrastructure capacity, accessibility, and environmental impact (including wind conditions).
Given the scale of opposition and unresolved issues, I urge you to represent your constituents and vote AGAINST this application in its current form.
Best regards,
