PETITION

We the undersigned residents of Ward 99, hereby submit this petition to express our deep concern and unhappiness regarding the ANC's decision not to select Cllr Daemane as a candidate for the upcoming Local Government Elections.

• REASONS FOR THIS PETITION Cllr Andile Daemane has served Ward 99 with dedication, dignity, honesty and hard work.  During his term he was available to the community, attended our problems and delivered services without fear and favour.  We believe that his work in these communities still needs his work.
• OUR CONCERN                   The candidates that have been selected are people we do not trust to serve the community.  We believe their main interest is in tenders, projects and etc. and not in the needs of ordinary residents.  We fear that if they are elected, service delivery in Ward 99 will suffer.
• OUR REQUEST We the community of Ward 99 and Lethabo NPO, Therefore respectfully request that the ANC:
• Review and reverse the decision to exclude Cllr Andile Daemane 
• Reinstate Cllr Andile Daemane as the ANC candidate for Ward 99 in the upcoming Local Government Elections. 

We believe Cllr Andile Daemane is the right person to continue serving Ward 99 with integrity. We trust the ANC, as a movement of the people, will listen to the voice of the community.

ADDITIONAL COMPLAINT:

IMPROPER CANDIDATE NOMINATION MEETING

On the 14/07/26 the ANC Branch held a meeting at Philasande in Villa Lisa to introduce their 4 candidates to the community. We the community of Ward 99 raise these concerns:

• No Community Notice The meeting was held during working hours. Most working residents could not attend.
• Vulnerable Residents Misled         Elderly people and people living with disability from Lolilwe Informal Settlement were brought to the vanue. They were told they were coming for  food parcels.  They were not told it was a candidate elections.
• IDs Collected under false pretence    People were told to bring IDs for food parcels. Their IDs were then used to vote for their candidate without proper explanation.
• Community Rejection   The community of Ward 99 doesn't support the ANC candidate. We will not vote for the ANC in the next upcoming elections if Cllr Andile Daemane is not reinstated

We request that this meeting be declared invalid and new, proper community consultation be done.
