Reintroduce Horse and Buggy Transportation for a Better America

The Issue

As an ordinary citizen, the future unnerves me, particularly when it comes to transport.

Every day, I see self-driving vehicles and electric cars and it's as if we're losing touch with the simplicity and morality of our past.

The world is overwhelming and there's corruption at every turn. We seem to have forgotten the times when our transportation relied on our relationship with nature: the horse and buggy days.  .

Those days represented a slower, more thoughtful pace of life, before we were taken advantage of by government and big business.

Traffic accidents were fewer. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, in 2019 alone, an estimated 36,120 people died in motor vehicle traffic crashes. In contrast, the International Museum of the Horse reports that in the late 1800s, at the height of horse and buggy use, accidental deaths were significantly lower.

Learning to care for and communicate with horses instilled kindness, patience, and understanding in us. Horses were not just means of transportation; they were companions and an integral part of the family, teaching us about empathy and the importance of both human-animal and human to human relationships.

By advocating for the reintroduction of horse and buggy transportation, we're not just championing an approach that's more in tune with nature. It's also about reviving the principles that this form of transportation represented: patience, simplicity, connectivity.

It's time for us to reconsider what progress means. It's time for us to reconsider what makes America truly great. Let's bring back the horse and buggy, fostering a sentiment of old-fashioned decency and slowing down our incredibly fast-paced lives. Sign this petition to embrace a simpler, kinder mode of transportation. Let's make America great again, together.
