Reinter Marilyn Monroe with the Respect She Deserves

Reinter Marilyn Monroe with the Respect She Deserves
The Issue
I have always felt a deep, personal connection to Marilyn Monroe. Her life and legacy resonate with me in ways that are hard for me to explain. This is not about fame or glamour; it's about dignity and respect for a woman who touched so many lives.
Marilyn Monroe was an icon of her time, breaking barriers in the entertainment industry while battling personal demons. Despite her struggles, she remains an inspiration to women everywhere, symbolizing strength and resilience in the face of adversity.
However, it has come to my attention that Marilyn's final resting place does not reflect the respect she deserves.
Her crypt currently resides next to the final resting place of Hugh Hefner who made millions off of Marilyn's nude photos but didn't pay her a penny of the profits only to pay $75,000 to be buried next to her as if he married her.
In the crypt above Marilyn is Richard Poncher whose last request to his wife was to be buried upside down in his coffin so he could be, and I quote 'on top of Marilyn for eternity', telling her, "if you don't put me upside down over Marilyn, I'll haunt you the rest of your life."
His wish was granted.
It is disheartening to think that such a significant figure lies in a grave lacking dignity and reverence. This is not just about Marilyn; it reflects on how we treat all women - even after their death.
It's time we rectify this situation by ensuring Marilyn Monroe is reinterred in a manner befitting her status as an icon and inspiration for women worldwide.
Envision a serene setting in a park, where Marilyn Monroe's final resting place is embraced by the gentle shade of majestic trees, accompanied by benches dedicated to honoring her remarkable life and legacy.
This harmonious environment not only resonates with her affinity for nature but also offers solace and reflection for visitors, ensuring that her spirit and the public alike find solace and inspiration in this tranquil sanctuary.
We owe it to her memory, but more importantly, we owe it to ourselves as a society that values respect for all individuals regardless of gender or status.
By signing this petition, you are voicing your support for treating every woman with dignity both in life and death – starting with re-burying Marilyn Monroe respectfully so she may finally rest peacefully. Please sign this petition today.
