Drug use disorders are being looked at as a health issue now, as it should be. It's considered a deceased. Parents cps  cases, who's rights were terminated for personal drug use disorders or substance abuse diseases, should be re evaluated, and serious consideration to have rights reinstated. Discrimination based on a disability or a deseas is unconstitutional and violates basic fundamental human rights. If the new drug reform to decriminalized drug use can reinstate voters right the parental rights should be as well. Birth parents who's children have already been adopted, should have the right to co- parent with the adopted parents just like when parents divorce and they co parent. Foster care  and termination of parental rights leads to the 80% of us criminals. If less than 3% of adoptees graduate a four year college then what exactly is the best interest of our children. Emotional and mental traumas are experienced by kids being taken away from their families that are suffering drug use disorders and hendering recovery, and causing relapse and overdoses. Children who grow up in foster care and severed from parents, grow up with disruptions in development causing self sufficient functioning impairment. With in the first year after aging out 40%-50% end up homeless. It would be of great benefits for children to grow up with their birth families involved in their lives. It would greatly increase moral of a huge portion of drug users to be motivated and determined for staying in recovery. It would also increase social support as a community for adopted and birth parents to unit as a team and have ideas from different perspectives to realize the true and very best interest of the child on a personal and individual level.
