Recently a decision was made by the Seneca Recreation Department to dismiss Cruz Cousins from Coaching the 10u Football team. This decision was based off of a reaction of a Coach whose genuine Love, Care and Compassion was more important than having someone belittle and laugh at these young boys who were playing a game and learning the fundamentals of a game they loved. Not only was he Coaching he was Shielding them from hate and ridicule.

Cruz Cousins has been a Volunteering Coach in the Seneca Community for a decade, if not more. He has coached kids who are nearly adults now. He has followed them through their little league years teaching, supporting and making them into great players. For some, they may have viewed him as more than just a Coach.  He has put in work, Dedication and has an absolute love for the game.

Not only has he been an important factor in the kids lives but he has also built bonds and friendships with the parents of these kids and within the Community.  He has helped to take many of these kids to the top, putting the Seneca Area on the Map. Seneca Recreation Department needs to give these kids and this Community their Coach back! One mistake is not grounds to punish these kids. It’s not grounds to shake up this entire Community who love and have respect for this man. Codes and Conduct and ethics shouldn’t be one sided. This is a Family and we are one!!!
