The event began for many of us with a sudden, jarring disconnect in the middle of a match, followed by a 24-hour ban that—without any further explanation—escalated to a 365-day ban the very next morning. This is not just about a game; it is about the loss of access to accounts where players have invested significant time and money—in my case, over 20,000 SEK spent in a short period. Despite 90 days of persistent attempts to reach a human, we have been trapped in a loop of automated AI responses. When a representative named Edward Nava finally responded, the truth was hidden behind the phrase "trade secret." This is the event currently unfolding for thousands of loyal players: our appeals are being ignored, our investments are being seized, and our rights are being bypassed by a machine.

The Growing Problem
I am not an isolated case. Epic Games has banned numerous other users alongside me without providing a valid reason. Like me, these players have had their appeals ignored or left unreviewed for months. We are being treated as data points rather than customers. The delay in taking this public was only due to the difficulty of navigating past corporate bots, but the silence ends now. We are witnessing a systemic failure where "protection of software" is being used as an excuse to ignore GDPR Article 22, which grants us the right to a human review of automated decisions.

Our Demands for Change
We are demanding that Epic Games takes immediate responsibility and implements the following:

Mandatory Human Review: Any ban resulting in a loss of paid content must be reviewed by a human specialist, not an algorithm.
Transparency over "Secrets": Players must be given a specific reason for their ban. "Trade secrets" is not an acceptable legal justification for seizing thousands of dollars' worth of digital property.
Accountability for Support: An end to the 90-day "ghosting" period. Appeals must be reviewed and answered by a person within a 14-day window.
Restoration of Rights: We demand that Epic Games Sweden and Epic Games global headquarters respect European consumer laws and restore accounts that were banned without clear evidence of a Terms of Service violation.
