Reinstate underwater claw machine mechanics in Animal Jam Classic

The Issue

In Animal Jam: Classic, most players like to dress up, decorate, trade, and—most pertinently—collect. Some items are so pretty that we want every color variant for outfits and dens! Yet this requires thousands of gems, not to mention spending on new animals, dens, etc. Items cost much more than they did when minigames were developed! It takes a very long time to earn enough gems through minigames. The player base is much older now. We don't have the luxury of time to play them anymore. Gem "farms" don't harm other players or item worth. They don't disrupt item worth; in fact, they bring more unique items into circulation, creating a more robust trading ecosystem. They make the game more enjoyable for everyone, allowing players to focus on what we like most: expressing ourselves.

As a community, we see two solutions:

  1. Return the previous underwater claw machine mechanics, which did no harm to the AJC community
  2. Go through each of the minigames to dramatically increase the amount of gems earned for every action.
  3. Decrease gem costs for every item in the game.

Solution 1 is much simpler—and it's easier to implement as it would require just a few minor changes to 8 or so different items. Solutions 2 and 3 are effective, but will take a lot of time and effort to carry out. Regardless of which solution is chosen, we as the AJC community urge the developers and decision-makers at Animal Jam HQ to earnestly consider this request. Sign this petition to bring fun and balance back to the game we love. Jam on!
